If your family changes, for example you start living with a partner or have a baby, you should let us know. This will help to avoid overcrowding and we can ensure that you are on the transfer list if necessary. If you are claiming Housing Benefit, you will also need to tell them about any changes to the size of your family and income.
If your relationship breaks down, you will need to take legal advice and talk to us. In domestic violence cases, if enough evidence of an offence is available, we will take action to evict the person responsible for the offence. We will talk to victims of domestic violence within 24 hours and advise them of possible courses of action. If the victim is unable to return home we will liaise with Lambeth Council or other agencies where appropriate, to find suitable alternative accommodation.
