Residents' Panel Profiles
Elspeth Anderson (Chair)
Elspeth has been recently elected as the chair of the Residents’ Panel. She plays an active role in the community as the treasurer of the Clapham Park East TRA, a member of the over 50s social club as well as a member of Timebank. She has extensive experience in finance and business and will utilise this knowledge to further develop the strategic direction of the panel.
Carolann Jones (Vice Chair)
Carolann has extensive experience in the construction industry managing repairs and maintenance contracts. She is currently working for Lambeth Council as a Contract Performance Officer. She decided to join the Residents’ Panel to be a part of the regeneration process. Her wealth of experience in this field enables her to play a unique part in the panel and in assisting Clapham Park with the implementation of works.
Natalie Pennant
Natalie became involved in the Residents’ Panel because she wanted to make a difference to her local community. As a resident of Clapham Park for the past seven years, she has the experience and understanding to push forward new ideas and make meaningful comments about the regeneration programme for the area. She is a parent so is especially interested in issues surrounding young people and family.
Samuel Kalu
Samuel is passionate about Clapham Park and the surrounding area and wanted to be part of the changes taking place. He felt the best way to do this would be to take part in the Residents’ Panel so that he could get more information about the improvements and make sure that residents’ interests are being looked after. The Residents’ Panel also allowed him to develop his communication and team work skills.
Patricia Davies
Patricia has been a resident of Clapham Park for over xx years and is an active member of her community. The Residents’ Panel allows her to take an active part in the debates around issues that concern the estate. She has been a champion of older people’s issues and has recently spearheaded the reopening of the luncheon club in Homan House.
June Heath
June is another active member of the elderly residents’ community and has brought some of the issues affecting them to the panel’s attention. As well as being an important member of the panel she is also a regular at the luncheon club and weekly coffee mornings. This enables her to share the information and updates she receives from the panel among other residents who may otherwise find it difficult to stay informed.
Joao Gomes Xavier Pinto Elyseu
Joao is a key member of the Portugese community and can also speak Spanish, Italian and French. This puts him in an important position as he is able to communicate with those people who may have difficulty understanding English. He is an active member of the panel and very keen to help other residents and ensure that everyone has a voice.
