Metropolitan Housing Partnership
Metropolitan Housing Partnership is a partnership of six organisations working together to make a difference to communities in London, Cambridgeshire, the Midlands and South Yorkshire. Our staff tell us they are really proud to work for Metropolitan Housing Partnership. We're always trying to improve and adapt, but our mission remains the same: to work with residents for better homes and stronger communities.
Our values
We wish to be recognised as a leading provider of high quality affordable homes and support services that offer real choice to our customers. Five values guide our work:
-
We value people
-
We put our customers first
-
We celebrate diversity
-
We have ambition and drive
-
We strive for excellence.
Valuing Diversity
MHP values diversity and promotes a culture where differences between people are respected and celebrated. We deal with people as individuals, whilst recognising that many people share common experiences based on their background.
Our success and growth has been a result of our ability to respond as a diverse organisation to the increasingly diverse needs of local people. For us, diversity encompasses age, colour, disability, gender, religion, and sexual orientation.
We were the first housing association to be recognised by Stonewall as one of the UK ’s top gay-friendly employers. Our lesbian, gay and bisexual policy group is working to ensure that staff and customers can enjoy an environment free from fear, discrimination and prejudice.
Sustainability
We are working to limit our negative impact on society, the economy and the environment. We are embracing environmentally sustainable principles, making changes to our house-building policies, our office management policies, and our IT infrastructure.
All of our new housing developments meet or surpass level three of the code for sustainable homes, and we have built solar panels and heat recovery systems into some of our properties in London.
