Lambeth Council believes that the stock transfer is be the best way of providing tenants on the Clapham Park Estates and surrounding area with good quality, well managed, well maintained homes at affordable rents in the future.
The Council also believes that CPH, with the assistance of MHT, would be able to carry out more repairs and improvements than the Council would be able to as well as making significant positive changes to the area as a whole. CPH would also work with tenants to make improvements to the housing services and ensure long-term affordable rents.
CPH has entered into a legally binding agreement with Lambeth to ensure all the promises made to residents as part of the stock transfer are adhered to. Therefore, the Council continues to have an ongoing relationship with Clapham Park Homes in monitoring and reviewing CPH’s Business Plan and commenting on future changes to the Masterplan.
