Joint tenancies
Married, unmarried or same sex couples applying for housing will usually be given a joint tenancy. If you are a sole resident, you can apply to add someone you have lived with for more than a year as a spouse or partner to your tenancy.
f we are satisfied that your application is as a result of your genuine desire to live in your home as partners, and not as a way of getting around our allocations procedure, and if you have kept to your tenancy agreement, then we will usually give permission.
