Independence

The service provided by Clapham Community Project is completely independent.  This enables us to offer impartial advice to all enquirers and to advocate on their behalf with any appropriate authority irrespective of any sources of financial support we may receive.

Equal opportunities

Clapham Community Project aims to ensure that no individual, whether an employee or user of the project , receives less favourable treatment or is discriminated against on grounds of age, class, race, religion, culture, nationality, gender, sexuality, disability, marital status or employment status.

Staff will challenge and combat racism, sexism or other discrimination where they encounter it during the course of their work.  Please note that advice interviews may be terminated with the full support of the Project Manager where clients refuse to desist from behaving or talking in a discriminatory manner.

Confidentiality

Clapham Community Project recognises that our clients will sometimes need to disclose information to our workers that is of a personal, private or sensitive nature and that careless disclosure of such information could be harmful.

We will endeavour to maintain strict confidentiality for our clients at all times.  In no circumstances shall information which could enable the identification of a client be divulged to anybody outside CCP without the client's express permission.

Wherever it is appropriate for us to act on behalf of a client we shall not contact a third party without the client's consent.  Usually, signed authorisation will be sought.

Free service

The advice and information services provided by Clapham Community Project are free to all our clients and users.  Donations to the Project itself are welcome but are neither sought nor expected.  We regret that we cannot accept personal gifts to individual members of staff.
