Community projects

The Community Partnerships Unit has been running a selection of projects over the past year aimed at increasing resident involvement, promoting community cohesion and developing residents’ skills.

Our most recent project, the DISPELS football coaching project, enabled young people from Clapham Park estate and the surrounding area to qualify as a FA Level 1 Football Coach.  This free five-session course has helped transform the lives of some our more vulnerable residents by instilling responsibility and respect, self belief, confidence and by making people more active.  This project is just one of the many activities we have planned to help encourage active living and ultimately a better quality of life for our residents.

Community events help to bring residents together and provide a great way for you to get to know your neighbours.

The recent Community Festival held in partnership with Clapham Park Projects was a great success, with more then 1000 local residents coming along on the day.  The festival is not only a place where families can enjoy fun activities and live entertainment, but also an opportunity for people to learn more about the work of Clapham Park Homes and the impact it will have on them.
