Clapham Park Homes Board Members

The board is made up of 15 members and includes residents, local authority nominees and independent members, including MHP nominees.

Resident Board Members

Resident board members are community representatives who make sure that the views of the people living in Clapham Park are reflected in the decisions taken by Clapham Park Homes.  They have an understanding of the community and know what people living in Clapham Park what to see happen.

Joe Moll – Chair
A resident (leaseholder) member, Joe has a background in central government; political, economic and social environment and market research, and is employed as a communications officer to a government minister.  Joe is a member of MHP’s Board and Group Audit Committee and the Clapham Park Project board.

Oliver Higgins – Vice Chair
Oliver has been involved with the development of the MasterPlan since the beginning.
He sits on the board of Clapham Park Project and was a founder of Lambeth’s Local Strategic Partnership.  Oliver works for The Projects Partnership as a solicitor.  He specialises in partnership development working with local authorities, RSLs and the voluntary sector.

Donna C Henry
A resident member, Donna is employed as an Ophthalmic Clinical Adviser in Kensington. Her fields of expertises are health and regeneration and committee and voluntary work.  Donna is particularly interested in developing our approach to housing management and maintenance.  Donna is Chair of the Clapham Park Project board.

Akie Deen
Akie’s background is in show business and music production and promotion. His work experience also includes sales consultancy and a period as PA to the Sierra Leone High Commissioner.  Akie is one of the founders of CPP’s Community Radio Project and continues to be involved on behalf of the community.

Roger Roach
A resident (tenant) member, Roger works for the Office of Rail Regulation.  He brings 15 years experience of community building: professional communication, administration, management and advocacy skills.
Roger is Chair of Clapham Park Project’s Neighbourhood Management Theme Group and Chair of Clapham Park East Tenant’s and Resident’s Association.

Robert Bird
An independent member, Bob has a degree in building surveying and is an RICS member. He has worked in property surveying and maintenance since 1976 in local government and the private sector.  Until recently a partner in William Martin and Partners.  Bob now runs his own housing development and consultancy company.

Seyi Obakin
Seyi is an MHP nominee who has sat on the board since its first meeting.  He is a qualified accountant (ACCA) with private and RSL experience, including housing association senior management, banking, strategic management, finance/accounting, financial and staff management. He is currently Finance Director of Centrepoint.

Sandra Skeete
An MHP nominee to the board, Sandra was appointed Director of Refugee Housing Association in 1997.  She was responsible for reshaping the organisation into a highly respected provider of housing and support services to refugees and asylum seekers.  Sandra left RHA in October 2005 to join the newly-established Westminster Community as its Director of Customer Services.

Gareth Crawford
An independent member of the board since its first meeting, Gareth has 20 years experience in housing association management and development.  He is currently Director of Development of Toynbee Housing Association and brings housing development, risk management, development finance and senior management skills to the board.

John Pearson
A longstanding independent member, John is a qualified accountant (FCA) with extensive experience in the field.  Now retired, he most recently worked as a financial manager and adviser for the European Parliament.  Voluntary experience includes assisting a small housing association and involvement in church groups and an orchestral charity.

Paul Fitzpatrick
A resident (leaseholder) member, Paul has a background in marketing and property management. His keen area of interest is inspiring and empowering members of the community through self development
and goal setting. Paul comes to the board having been chairperson of the CPH Resident Panel.

Carolann Jones
A resident (tenant) member, Carolann has extensive experience in the construction industry managing repairs and maintenance contracts.  She is currently working for Lambeth council as a Contract Performance Officer.  She has a keen interest in the regeneration process and her wealth of experience in this field enables her to play a unique part in assisting Clapham Park with the implementation of works.  Carolann is currently Vice Chair of the Residents Panel.

Cllr. Michael Hipwell
Councilor Michael Hipwell is one of three Labour Councilors who represent Thornton Ward on Lambeth council.  He sits on various committees and bodies making the decisions that will improve council services.  However, he is determined not to be stuck in the Town Hall, away from the people he was elected to represent.  He is out and about in the local communities listening to their views and sitting on boards such as Clapham Park Homes.

Su Brown
Su is currently the Head of Finance within the Housing, Regeneration and Environment Department at Lambeth Council.  She has extensive experience in the mental health, community services and voluntary sectors.  Su worked within the NHS through the establishment of the Primary Care Trusts so is well versed in managing change whilst ensuring that services continue to be delivered and that local users are well represented in all the changes that are made.
