The CPH Board

We are a limited company and have a Board that is ultimately responsible for the organisation. All Board members serve in a voluntary capacity.

The Board is made up of 15 Board members and includes:

Resident Board Members
Resident Board members are community representatives who make sure that the views of the people living in Clapham Park are reflected in the decisions that are taken by Clapham Park Homes. They have an understanding of the community and know what people living in Clapham Park want to see happen.

Board member photoJoe Moll – Chair
A resident (leaseholder) member, Joe has a background in central government; political, economic and social environment and market research. He is employed as a communications officer to a government minister. Joe is a member of MHP's Board and Group Audit Committee and the Clapham Park Project Board.

 


Board member photoOliver Higgins – (Vice Chair)
Oliver has been involved with the development of the MasterPlan since the beginning. He sits on the Board of Clapham Park Project and was a founder member of Lambeth’s Local Strategic Partnership. A solicitor, Oliver works for the London Borough of Haringey, specializing in public and private sector partnerships and the voluntary sector.

A resident member, Donna is employed as an Ophthalmic Clinical Advisor in Kensington. Her fields of expertise are in health and regeneration and in committee and voluntary work. Donna is particularly interested in developing our approach to housing management and maintenance. Donna is Chair of the Clapham Park Project Board.

Akie’s background is in show business and music production and promotion. His work experience also includes sales consultancy and a period as PA to the Sierra Leone High Commissioner. Akie is one of the founders of the radio project and continues to be involved on behalf of the community.

 

 

Board member photoRoger Roach
A resident (tenant) member, Roger is employed by the Health and Safety Executive. He brings 15 years experience of community building: professional communication, administration, management and advocacy skills. Roger is Chair of Clapham Park Project’s Neighbourhood Management Theme Group and Treasurer of Clapham Park East Tenants and Residents' Association.

Independent Directors

Board member photoRobert Bird
An independent member, Bob has a degree in building surveying and is an RICS member. He has worked in property surveying and maintenance since 1976 in the local government and private sector. Until recently a partner in William Martin and Partners, Bob now runs his own housing development and consultancy company.

 

Board member photoSeyi Obakin - Treasurer
Seyi is an MHP nominee who has sat on the Board since its first meeting. He is a qualified accountant (ACA) with private and RSL experience, including: housing association senior management; banking; strategic management; finance/accounting; financial management and staff management. He is currently Finance Director of Centrepoint.

Sandra Skeete

An MHP nominee to the Board, Sandra was appointed as Director of Refugee Housing Association in 1997. She was responsible for reshaping the organisation into a highly respected provider of housing and support services to refugees and asylum seekers. Sandra is now Director of Customer Services for Peabody Housing Trust.

 

Board member photoGareth Crawford
An independent member of the board since its first meeting, Gareth has 20 years experience in housing association management and development. He is currently Director of Development for Toynbee Housing Association and brings housing development, risk management, development finance and senior management skills to the Board.

 

Board member photoJohn Pearson
A longstanding independent member, John is a qualified accountant (FCA) with extensive experience in the field. Now retired, he most recently worked as a financial manager and advisor for the European Parliament. Voluntary experience includes assisting a small housing association and involvement in church groups and an orchestral charity.
